Brief Description

CTET July 2020 Notification is Out by CBSE @ ctet.nic.in The Online Apply for CTET July 2020 will start from 24 January 2020 and the Exam will be held on 5 July 2020. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, known as CTET, is the minimum qualification required in India for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. The test is mandatory for teaching jobs in government schools. There are two papers: Paper 1, for teachers of Classes I to V, and Paper 2 for Classes VI to VIII. The CTET is conducted by the Central Board of secondary education. The test is conducted to meet the objectives of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. How to Apply for CTET July 2020

Method of Submission of Online Application Form:
STEP1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
STEP4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for CTET July 2020

Eligibility Criteria for CTET July 2020 for Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage):- 

For Paper 1 (Primary Stage)

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”
“(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher”.

For Paper 2 (Elementary Stage)

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
OR
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to
appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses
(recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET

Qualifying Marks for CTET

The qualifying mark for CTET July 2020 is 60% for General category and 55% for OBC/ SC/ ST categories. Candidates who will score equal to or more than the qualifying marks will be considered qualified.

General 60% (90 marks)
OBC/SC/ST 55% (82.5 Marks)

Exam Pattern of CTET July 2020

The pattern of CTET July 2020 Exam consists of 2 papers – Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage)

  • Paper 1 is for candidates who intend to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
  • Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6 to 8. 

There are 150 questions in each paper and one question carries one mark.
